I've built muzzleloading firearms, and I don't recognize that as a gun part. Sorry.

It appears to be a "spill" of melted lead.

I think you are right, I tried to give a little bending pressure to it to see if I could tell what it was made of and it snapped, and is obviously lead.

So I assume someone was making bullets or sinkers unless there is another application I'm not familiar with. This on a remote part of my land and the only other items I've found are old square nails, shotgun casings and a bullet.. It's just interesting to find out what the land was used for previously .

Interesting. lead usually bends a LOT before it will snap . . .
