Park hunting @ night!!
Went to the park around 7:30,did a little hunt, thought I found my gold ring ,brought home to clean it fell apart on me
To top it off we got a parking ticket for $47.00 no parking from 9pm-6am,,We would always stay till 10:00 @ times never got a ticket, new signs were just put up,as you turn around the corner, you really can't see it,,so anyway I'm gonna try to protest it,,:dontknow::help::sad11:
Attached Images We left about 9:10,,b/c its so hot our temps are in the 107 degrees, didn't see it on our windshield until this morning before going to church,,truly is an honest mistake, never ever had that sign before & I haven't been to the park for about 1 month..
I think I found about .70 cents,so I need $46.30 more,,I'm gonna try to protest the ticket online & see what happens...

Sorry about the ticket that always sucks when they pull a fast one. Too bad the ring didnt work out for you. I had an earring that I found today thought it may have been gold but turns out it was just a brass plated copper earring. Good luck with fighting city hall! HH

That bites, always about control... Fight it but watch out because if they find out what you were doing. They'll ban mders... You might win the battle, but lose the war...

Hate tickets! Was the sign obscured in any way by trees, etc. so you couldn't see it? If so, take a photo of it. Can help your case if you can prove sign is not easily seen. Good luck!

Sorry, too, your ring was a faker.

They must need extra cash to ban parking at night Good luck on the protest

"fell apart on me" That sucks, and I'm sorry, but the image is funny, "Oh boy, what is it, oh boy.......ARRRRGGGGHHHHH!" : )

Also sucks about the ticket-go fight it. Since they just put it up, might give you a break and let you go with a warning. Least they could do is say no.

Fight,Fight,Fight...........If it was hard to see, And if it was just installed you may have a chance for a warning...Good Luck with it.
Sorry 'bout the ring..........................HH

...and I thought my last md session was bad. Sorry about the ring, it would have been nice in gold or silver.

There will be regulations regarding placement, size, letter size, obstructions, etc that your state requires. Even colors and reflectivity have requirements. Any doubt on validity of the sign will help your case. Were you the only person there, was any attempt made to get your attention? From your statement it looks like you left shortly after the curfew was imposed, what time did they write the ticket? You must have barely missed them and you could make the point the officer seeing you approaching could have issued a warning instead.

If you can get a good photo with your car parked where it was and showing that the sign was not visible from that part of the parking lot you likely could get a magistrate to toss it out.

There is usually some kind of standard for posting property, what this is is a conditional no trespassing sign, that says if the sign is not clearly placed then it isn't effective. So as I said, if the sign was not clearly visible from where your parked and you were parked in a marked parking lot then you got a case. If you were just parking someplace on the grass or along the road by the park then you don't have a lot to stand on.

The reason for these signs is that parks are being used by the night perverts for hook ups and by drug dealers and drug users.

And you also might run afoul of the law because you were trespassing after hours that the park closed, not that you parked your car there.
