Some kind of tag, keychain bob, etc. Rat on it. It's broken at the left side.

Washington State tax token. No date on this one at all.

I've dug one of these before and I was puzzled over what kind of bottle top it was. The first one I dug was really rusty, no details. But....

This one has a bit of detail and the picture after this is a mystery solver.

Both of these are whiskey bottle cork stopper tops. John Walker & Sons, Kilmarnock. These date from the late 1930's to early 1940's when whiskey went from just cork stoppers to these. The slogans at the time shouted..."Throw away your cork screws, you don't need them anymore for your whiskey bottles."

Beach locker token. Both sides say the same thing.

And my best find of the week follows.

1940 George VI British Wren Farthing. Bronze and well patina'd from the dark loamy Vancouver park soil.

The funny thing is I watch Ged "Peacehavens" videos on youtube daily. His hunts with the Deus XP in the Yorkshire Dales and his humor is addicting. If you havn't watched them do so. His laugh is infectious. Anyway, in the last week or so he's dug up 3 or 4 of those farthings and when I saw them I kinda fell in love with that little wren. Was going to ask him for a coin trade and lo and behold what do I find here?

Well that's it for this week. Hopefully my new Fisher CZ-3D will arrive later this week and I'll take it out for a spin. Till then, GL & HH ALL!!

You smoke dope across from the police dept in the park eh?

Yep, I dug this under a tree right across the side street from the city hall police parking lot and office.

Cheech and Chong, boy my Mother hated those 2. She'd find my LP's and tapes and burn them.

Crack pipes are made of glass and are primarily found whenever I detect downtown.
