Panning in Thomsom Ga area

Hello to all, This is on the bucket list. I have pan for gold for years, but only by pay dirt. I just love doing it. So I thought I would put this out there. Two of us will be traveling to Thomsom GA. from Florida. All I want is a flake just so I have seen it in my life time. Any one pan in this area, did you found a flake. Even if you don't think you are at the best spots you all ready can spot the flakes and know how to pan.
Go for it as there is likely many creeks that will net a flake or two.
