If you have fine gold in your pan from crushed ore, is it likely that you cannot separate from black sands? I have crushed ores to powder and do not see obvious flakes but I feel like I see very fine gold specks... Is this likely gold and impossible to separate from panning? I've practiced with lead specs cut to the size of bread crumbs (but these are still larger then the potential gold I see) and am able to keep the lead in the pan. Also, if gold is associated with host rock, (and it is fine gold too) if you crush it, won't it still all crumble because it is fine and not a chuck of metal? Thanks
