Found a 1930 Panama Coin. I think it is silver ?
While trying to gather info on the coin I run into places where the coin
is refferred to as a Balboa sometimes 1/10 or 1/4 , but when I look at the pictures
I can't see any difference. ANyone know what the fractions mean and what fraction goes with the coin I found ?
I know little about coins, any info you all may have would be appreciated.
Thanks.... JFS

the USA mint made the panamaian money --so its not too surprizing the similar size . it traded on par with the us dollar during the gold standard years -- the 1930 quarter was standard size -- it was 90% silver -- the gr250 means 2 1/2 grams -- and so forth-- gr 500 would be 5 grams ---and so on
