It is argued sometimes whether a piece is truly Paleo or very Early Archaic..... at least in FL. And when you have some time in the hole you get your own opinions, LOL

Nice artifacts Tom... Mustache! Good one.. I can see why you call it that. Definitely makes you think of the other mustache... not the one on the face.

On Son's board he pointed out that if you resharpened a "Moustache Bolen" variant in the haft where the ears become obliterated you have what looks like a "Moustache Simpson"....... I can see what he means!

When one collects a lot of material from one site you get to see more of the variants within types and also the continuum of use wear and resharpening.
Newbies should make some effort to imagine/know what the type looks like in First Stage on down to Nubbin Stage. Worked down points are often typed wrong.

I dunno photobucket is weird I'm checking on it!
.....Way...down upon the Swannee Rivah. Far, far away.......

I really think I would cry like a baby if I saw that base sticking out of the ground, and pulled it out.... Broken. Man!! Still a great find!

I bet he was blowing bubbles everywhere.

Lol! Rightly so! That is one heck of a piece! The other piece would make it one heck of a lot better though. We had best stop talking about it. Don't want him to go out at this time of night. Blowing bubbles in the dark!

That's the only piece in my collection, well maybe one of three or so, that I would consider having Dr. Gomer restore.
