Went over to my birthplace and where I grew up to search an area where there was road and sidewalk replacement going on. Found the 1920 Mercury dime
next to the new curb. This piece of jewelry is probably just junk but I need to find out if those diamonds are fake before tossing them in the trash. I filed the "gold" down and it's either nickle or silver base metal. Would they mount real diamonds in plated jewelry. Though it looks like a watch from the back? Or center of choker neclace? Found some clad and 1949 wheat penny. Button was sitting on top of dirt pile. Corset button? The token is a long way from home. It says Palace Amusements Asbury Park New Jersey. Looked it up and it opened in 1888 and closed in 1988. This I'm sure is a modern token but it ads to the mysteries on how some things end up from where they originated.

Nice finds! Grats!

Wow! Never thought to see Palatka mentioned on here. Lol. I was born and raised in Green Cove Springs before moving out to Texas.

My dad used to hunt an old Catholic church there in the late 70s / early 80s. I tried to get permission back in the 90s and failed, but might be worth a shot. He pulled a lot of silver coins and religious medals, I'm sure a modern detector could eat it up.

Nice finds from the road and sidewalk tear-out. You never know what is going to surface.
