Howdy Folks. Rain has me spending TOO much time on my computer. I dug out a pair of really ugly "rings" I have questions about. The one with the heart & hand thing is a common ring but, the name escapes me as to what it is. I recently saw one posted and it was quite old. No stamping in either ring. The black ring looks old as the hills and I am only assuming it is actually a ring by the appearance of it. Any help is greatly appreciated as I am bored and ready to go night hunting in the mud to get some PEACE! LOL!

I don't think its a heart and hand. I believe this is a pair of hearts combined and an old trade ring. If you search for it you will see several examples posted recently.

I think Claddagh ring is what there called? Not sure on the spelling....
The black ring is interesting cause i found it's twin friday. I wasn't sure if it was a ring or some old plumbing parts but the inside still had a small amount of plating left. Hope someone else can get you a better ID than I can offer.

You named it. I thought this was the Claddagh? Ring thingy. I could be mistaken as trdking above doen't think it's the Claddagh ring? I can't tell as my old eyes suck even with my jeweler's loups! Thanks for your suggestions just as well. I need to get muddy now!:icon_thumright:

You think my old black ring is an actual trade ring like as in OLD! I could care less if it's valuable as I just am interested in OLD! LOL! Thanks for hanging out with me as I am bored to tears for the rain and mud we have this fine Saturday. I think I will venture out anyway and get muddied up. The signals and sopping wet mud should give me a few more inches for that OLD COIN I've been missing!:laughing9:

The Kladah what ever ring is 2 hands holding a crown. This is 2 hearts over lapping and is typical of early trade silver. They are not the same at all
