Found a boat from hurricane irma way up in the mangrove forest. All the personal belongings were already stripped. The only thing left were some plastic tubes filled with nautical charts. After I got home I started to go through the tubes and sure enough, treasure !! Rolled up with the charts were 2 pages like this they look like they were printed yesterday. Wrinkle free beauties. Im wondering if they are valuable ? Any one have a clue about this kind of thing. If it weren't 5 miles by boat id be back right now checking it with a fine tooth comb. Face value is 64 $ per page.

looking online at a few currency dealers, it looks like they are selling theirs for around 160 bucks for a sheet of 32

also... isn't there a way to determine the owner by the boat's registration numbers or other identification?

Yup....there is. all these boats have been marked by the coastguard as abandoned with orange paint. I could claim this one if I want, its slated to be cut up and drug out of the mangroves and disposed of. Many owners just walked away and left there boats where they lay. I stripped 8 bronze portholes off another nearby. Right now there are about 30 of them at the top of the keys. Owners have 30 days to claim them or they will be destroyed if not claimed by someone. Some sweet boats are going to be cut up. Such a shame !!

wow. we have some wicked storms here in Oklahoma, but I guess it's hard for someone like me to grasp the magnitude of a hurricane. I'm sure all those who abandoned their boats have their own reasons for doing so
