1927D Green Penny was the best on my extended lunch break & the MW &Co. Pad lock cover. Measures 2 1/4" long, must have been a big lock!

Are you saying I should not trash it? It was at a 1790's built home in southern Virginia. It was near a modern deck, so i an thinking it is not that old.
It is a bottle cap of some sort from New York.
