Had a good hunt yesterday with the atpro in the woods! First good find was the war nickel which didn't give the best signal but dug it anyways, glad I did. Then got a high 80s signal under a rock which was the red goose shoe token.
Next came the match safe from under a fallen tree down about 8 inches vdi was jumping in the high 70s, thought it was going to be a deep can. It still has matches inside!
After that I dug a few wheaties then got a deep 87-88 and about 7 inches down got the 64 Washington in great shape. It was at the base of a big pine tree I think the reason it was deep for a 64 was because the squirrels eat the pine cones and drop the cone parts to the base and over time builds up and buries targets. Ive dug a few zincolns at 6 inches at the base of pine trees. Busy little squirrels!
Dug a few more wheaties oldest was a 1920 then got a 87-88 vdi on the edge of a little stream, depth said 6 inches and I was saying "come on silver!" It was rocky soil so I made sure I kept my shovel distance from the target, scooped out a shovel full, and saw a shiny disc, yeah baby! Turned out to be a 1902 barber quarter! My 3rd barber quarter, still waiting for my SLQ but I'll take barbers all day haha.
Also found 3 cool bottles on the surface
Happy hunting!
