Re: PA Railroad Stations Past & Present

Great link Teddy. But I have a question. I have an ghost train station here in my own hometown, but I'm Having trouble MDing it due to so much trash. Any suggestions, I just switched MDs to a Ace 250. :)

Re: PA Railroad Stations Past & Present

Im not sure Im qualified to give advice, im just a beginner MD'er myself but from reading other posts and what has been suggested to other's is you really have to spend some time clearing the "junk/trash" then go back over the area afterwards to find the "good stuff".
For such a fun hobby, there sure is a lot of work involved ;D
Maybe some of the more experienced member's will give better advice.

Re: PA Railroad Stations Past & Present

Your Welcome Potter Poker, I loved the old picture's. I spent about 2 hours on that site looking thru most of the photo's. I liked the comparison of the old pics to the more current pics, things sure do change.

Re: PA Railroad Stations Past & Present

It's funny, that I've never really been interested in History before. Once I started MD'ing however, I am enjoying the research, almost as much as the hunting. I actually pass two of the abandoned stations in Bucks County daily. I have been toying with the idea of hunting them, and now I think I've got even more incentive. Thanks again Teddy. Bodyguard

Me too, Never much into history before I got my "loot finder" (as my dad calls it). Now, I read all that I can about it. They do look like very interesting, well built, and grand pieces of architecture. Great link. Thanks for posting it.

Re: PA Railroad Stations Past & Present

Your both Welcome ;) I was never one for history growing up but now I love it. I spend a lot of time online doing research on my area. MD'ing just make's it more interesting somehow ;D
