Hi all. Went back to an old park that was created in the 1960's. Found this fob/pendant near the baseball field. Found an exact match on google images. Was listed on EBay as "vintage" but gave no dates. Was hoping someone here was a former or current member of the Pa Guard and could help dating it. It appears to be bronze once I gave it an electrolysis bath. The one on EBay appears bronze too. Thanks for looking!

Thanks! I thought it had some good detail on it. When I first saw it, I thought I had dug another English Penny.

correct me if I am wrong but isnt the something to do with boy scouts of america and "cradle of liberty" council?

ok should have researched that yes the cradle of liberty is a council formed in philly for the boy scouts...nothing to do with this I assume. What I am finding though is there was a series of pendants made for the american bicentennial celebration that where available during the celebration. so that would be like 1975-1977 ish. just a guess I didnt find this exact pendant but it does match the style I found of one of New Jersey national guard and also there is one with paul revere on it.

Thanks all for your input. I gave the fob to a fellow at work who is a current member of the PNG. He says he remembers seeing one something like this one at the Kingston Armory back in the 90's. They were being given out by recruiters. He could not remember if this one is identical though.:coffee2:
