So, I was reading up on Global Warming ... and what kinds of insane stuff is being done by the pseudoscientists to fight it, when I ran across this bit of information from whitehouse.gov:

If there really is a connection between cattle flatulence, cattle waste, and the environment ---then what about all the wildlife "passing gas" (and more) in the woods?
Look, if one is bad, the the other must be just as bad ... or maybe worse. When you add up all the wildlife "easing nature" in the woods, it numbers many times more than the total of commercially raised cattle (for human consumption or for dairy production) at any given time. At least we're trying to do something in this country about the "dairy air". What we're not doing is addressing the larger problem!
Since we can't put diapers and flatulence collection apparatus' on wildlife, what can we do about all the deer, elk, moose, camel, wolves, coyotes, elephants, lions, jaguars, bears, etc. etc.? Then too, even though some folks do put diapers on their little lap doggies and lap kitties, they serve no truly useful purpose, but contribute to the problem on a grand scale!
Just as importantly, what would we do about all the ducks, pigeons, etc. etc. that would no longer be able to migrate? They would die anyhow as soon as winter came along because of the mess in their diapers.
What can we do? Is there a legitimate solution that could save our environment?
Well, we could cook 'em up, which would put an end to that "gassy" problem as well as the over abundance of "solid waste" in the woods. Open season 12 months of the year! Daily/seasonal hunting limits would be a thing of the past. However, there is one big obstacle to helping our environment ... P.E.T.A.
P.E.T.A. is extremely opposed to this idea of removing the offending animals. Just look at their site: Hunting | Cruel Sports | Animals Used for Entertainment | The Issues | PETA
They are actively working to continue the destruction of our environment!
