I hit over 50 banks and there really wasn't anything to talk about. My totals include

1 - 1964 Half dollar
1- 1964 Dime
$ 500 in Ike dollars (NO SILVER!)

I only hit 17 banks today myself (including my dump bank) and skunked on what little halves I found but I did score my first silver Ike ('72S) from 10 Ike's I got at my 2nd bank this morning. I really liked how there was very little traffic in the streets or at the banks earlier this morning but it seemed like it might not have been the best day for bank hunting because the banks were short staffed so there weren't as many tellers available to buy from.

At least we both were able to score a little silver @ face today.

Btw, I sold 115 clad Ike's last Sun. for $125 from an ad on Craigslist. Maybe you could try the same if you want to get rid of yours for a small quick profit.

I'd sell the $500 in Ikes for whatever I could get out of it. Even if you get $525 there's free money. Better than nothing.

I hit about 18 banks today and basically skunked out on all of them. The only good part of it was I further established some relationships with some of the branches/tellers...many of whom said they will start keeping any loose halves for me that come in. We'll see.

Having said that, it was still fun, and I'm still thankful that I have the means and liberty to pursue this crazy hobby

Agreed, and I am going to try to sell the ikes for a little profit. By the way these ikes were ordered by a local bank, they tell me they are able to order large dollar coins, I didn't think this was possible.

I didn't think ordering the big dollar coins was possible either. This topic has come up recently and others have said no banks could/would do it. If you are able to and decide to order some I'd sure be interested to know if you have any luck.
