Hello! Someone posted this oval shaped token on a facebook.com metal detecting page . . . . .
HOP BRAUN / 3rd / & OTTAWA ST. // GOOD FOR / (star) 5 c / IN TRADE
I asked the person if they could measure the token in millimeters, but they haven't responded to me yet.
The person that dug it says they dug it in Platte County Missouri . . . . but they think the token is actually from across the river in Leavenworth KS. The little bit of research they did was that they found info on a local baseball player named George "HOP" Braun in like 1914 to 1916. Not sure what business he owned though.
Anyone know about this token? or any thing about HOP BRAUN?
THANKS,
Neil
