I finally got out with the small coil on my 800 to go through some terribly trashy areas at a local 130 year old park . Some parts are just just machine gun beeps in the 14 to 18 numbers .
I had only went 3 feet and got a 20-21 ping . It was the 1944 wheat . It was on edge and down about 5” .
After multiple screw caps i hit another 20-21 in between pull tab signals and out came the 1919 .
The 1926 was nestled between a bunch of trash and took a minute or so to pinpoint. It was the second one on edge that i took the pick of .
Found a few of the other memorials with pulltabs in the hole . One had a pull tab and a big hunk of wire to . With a perfect 20-21 signal .
I absolutely love that 6” coil . It just doesn’t cover much ground .

Nice! Thanks for sharing with us!

I been thinking about a 6" coil for a long time. I know many trashy areas to hunt I just hate hunting them. I know the 6" coil would help but at the present time I have several good places to hunt..

After i had found another 1919 wheat with the 11” coil in the same trashy area i thought maybe the 6” would be great . It is . I wish i had 2 equinox’s so i wouldn’t have to switch coils .

If you have a shaft for each coil it’s quick and easy to switch coils. That’s what I do and it’s better on the coil wire at the coil.

Nice, I think mine will be in the mailbox when I get home from work today. With all the wooded areas and small yards that I hunt, I doubt I'll be taking it off any time soon. The depth seems to be pretty good from what I've read. Always great to get a new coil.. almost feels like a new machine.. almost.

I used to have a few extra shafts and coils for my DFX.
Guess I’ll have to order another one for the Equinox.
