These friendly folks have been hanging around for a few days and I finally got a photo. They were living under a storage shed, but said they were planning on moving on soon. Thanks for looking. armidilos.jpg

probably on their way to australia

Only one of those I ever saw was flattened out on a road in Alabama. Kind of like a Frisbee Armadillo.

I can tell from experience, they are tough when you're on two wheels going 60 mph ... they said that I traveled most of a football field rolling on the highway. I just remember it seemed like forever before I stopped ... and the bike was tumbling about 5 feet away the whole time.

He was zipping across the road, so stupid me I figured I'd just pass by a few feet behind him. When I stood the bike back up, he was heading straight at the headlight. Ouch!!!

be sure you cook em well done

Very Cool , they do look like Turtles with long tails.

I have never see one 'alive' in person ,I saw one hit in the road on my way to Cartersville 2 weeks ago.

Usually they are not seen much that far North , like "The Jeffersons" they are "Movin on up".

When I was younger 10+ years ago , I only recall seeing them run over once we got South of Macon or Phoenix City AL.
Great Picture.
