Out AT Pro'n Last 3 Hunts. Got An Old Whiskey Spigot

Had to work the weekend, but did get some short hunts in. The days are getting shorter, the leaves are turning color and a cool fall air is all around. A nice time of year it is! Here are the finds. I eyeballed a small piece of petrified wood, and kept it. Lots of pennies from the 40's & 50's.

I got an old copper spigot......maybe from an old bootlegger? A 1959 dime surprised me and a pet ID tag.

Nice finds John, as usual, I got out this week, hitting my old homestead again. I found a 1962 dime, a Wheat Penny and a couple newer coins, nothing great. I did find an old Chevrolet emblem but it was pretty bad so I tossed it. As a kid I remember all the people that used to be at our house and in our yard, playing cards, tossing horse shoes etc. Yes, we had an outhouse too and I checked that area good, nothing, I mean nothing came on the radar screen. I found a lot of areas where junk was buried (garbage) and a lot of coal ashes. I had to conclude what I thought as a young boy, we were as poor as dirt, but we had fun and I am good with that. I will recheck one other section of the yard, but all that was ever on that spot was a vegetable garden so I doubt it will give up anything special but I'll check just to be sure.

A week ago I hit a lake I have been itching to check out and nothing great turned up there either. Oh well, the hunt continues for that Mercury Dime. I'll dig one soon... just need more time to hunt.
