Bottle Views (click to enlarge):
Otto's Cure for the Throat & Lungs, also known as Otto's German Cure for the Throat & Lungs, was a concoction that claimed to cure all manner of respiratory ailments, from the common cold to consumption. It claimed to effect a permanent cure for these conditions, and they guaranteed it would work.
It was manufactured by the B H Bacon Company, in Rochester New York. They had 7500 feet of factory space in a rather large building on West Avenue and Prospect, as seen on this postcard from the period:
It was advertised fairly widely in the 1890's and early 1900s. The medication was available in a regular size bottle or a sample size. This bottle is the sample size, which was available for free at the time. Here are some example advertisements for it (click to enlarge):

There were many of these ads used all over the country with different druggists laying claim to the "sole agent" title, presumably only for a certain territory.
The company was gone by 1908, and their former factory was up for lease.

This bottle was a pretty easy clean, again just soap and water. Here's the before and after.

* Value based on an average of randomly sampled sold eBay listings as of the time of posting. For this particular bottle, I only found one sold example at $9 plus $3 shipping. There are a couple currently listed for sale at $30 each, but I'll assume the sold price is the more reliable.
