Took the Grandkids to visit the largest mine in Orogrande this weekend. Large tailing piles, grand vistas and obviously lots of works. The "Iron Queen" is situated atop one of the many mountains that abound in the Jarilla's. A large 'cut' that is visible from Hwy 54, 4 miles away attests to the magnitude and size of this operation.
