Hello,

I found this nice piece of brass today and am stumped to it's identity. I am hoping someone here can help me zero in on it's age, function, origin, and so on. If you have any ideas or questions please post them.

It appears to me that the holes on the left and right would have been where it attached to something else. There is no evidence of hooks on the back, as you can see.

Thank you,
Still Waters

Item dimensions:
56 mm wide
49 mm tall
43mm from center to center on the two round holes
16.1 grams

Yep, it's the back plate to a drawer pull from the Victorian era. Breezie

Firniture sounds likely, but is there any way to narrow down a date range?

That's blinking Nice, but I think you display it upside down, SW,
looking at the wear on it.
My picture flipping skills are apparently temporarily unavailable. ;D

This rococo style was popular in the late 18th-early 19th Century. However, there was a Victorian revival in the late 1800s. So you need to analysis it along side other finds from that site.
