Since we don't know the size or what the back looks like, I'm going totally by shape & detail and say it is a Victorian necklace pendant. The top picture is upside down, and if you flip it, you will see there is an eyelet for a chain on one side, and it is missing on the other. Nice find, Breezie

Sorry for the confusion folks, I should have reposted ALL the pics here they are and the item is about 2.5 inches in length. The item has two chains hanging down with one having a tiny ornament for an end and one with a loop. In the hole with the "pendant" I found another item (pictured, 1.5 inches in length) which I believe hung from the loop. It has a tubular design with a flower and berry(?) pattern to it with several chains hanging down with miniature ball bearings attached. Hope this helps!

I agree with Breezie...

It's a Victorian chatelain pendant... they held keys, sewing items, charms, etc...
