Any ideas if this could be plated silver? Or what it even is? With the bracket on back, I have no idea.

Found at a possible old homestead. Maybe turn of century.

Cool Pendant/Sash Buckle.
I like the fact that it was probably found in MS, "The Magnolia State".
That style attachment clip should help someone date it.

You can get a vial of silver testing solution on ebay for 5 or 6 dollars.
Look closely at the reverse there may be a makers mark, or .925/Sterling mark.

OK, thanks for the input, guys. I guess I'll go with that; a sash buckle. I don't see any markings on it at all, so I am not certain of the metal or age of it. I'm also not sure I want to put the silver testing solution on it; I hear it can damage the item? Guess I'll mark this one as solved. Thanks again.
