Greetings all,
I'm currently back to working over an abandoned 1750s log home/farm with documented Civil War skirmish involving 3 Union companies that formed a battle line in their yard.
There is so much iron to listen to but I'm digging every good signal in the mix. Found a few dated items but my recent finds have me confounded again. Y'all helped me out before from this property.
The first appears to be a buckle of some sort to me. What is left of it lends some curvature to it. Hopefully the dimensions are helpful. I believe it is pewter, and colonial but, I'm here to listen.
The second appears to be a hand forged object that broke at the narrow end. I've never seen anything like it to remotely identify it.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated from you gents. You are all, yourselves,, National Treasures.
