Ya I guess I did forget to do more than put in the pictures. I'm going to go there this weekend and see what I can see. I'll try and remember to take my camera so I can have pic's of all the ,,,,,,,,, and the ,,,,,,,,, that I'm going to find.

Great pictures. Makes you wonder who and what. Do you know any history of it? Bet you find a lot of horse shoe nails.

If I wanted to sell original square forged nails I could get a lot out of the Gable ends that have fallen. There were hand split oak clapboards. The folks who built it are buried just up the hill from the cabin. The doors and beams were all hand made with hand plained beading in each board. Really a waist of a great old cabin to have let it fall in.

Well how did it go?

Beautiful pics!

I can't explain it......I just really enjoy being in the presence of cabins/sites that old. It helps put our own lives into perspective. THOSE folks knew hard times. THEY knew what hard work was.

I'd have to sit there for about a half-hour and listen and ponder. Drink it all in.

And then HUNT IT!

Agree with DavidTN.......didja go yet? Find anything? More pics?

Sorry Guys, Didn't get a chance to get to the cabin to hunt. Due to circumstances beyond my control I wasn't able to make it. I have to get there soon though or I will need a bush hog to get through the brambles and a club to drive off the D--- ticks. I'll get her done and get back to ya.

IF IT IS THE SAME CABIN
I HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE IT FELL IN IT WAS REALLY A SWEET THING I WANTED TO MOVE IT BUT PROPERTY OWNERS WOULDNT EVEN TALK ABOUT IT WHAT A WASTE

Several friends and I bought it and some surrounding property about 10 years ago. The guy whose parcel this sat on just let it go to pieces. Hated to see it but it was his dime.
