Dug this aqua blue med yesterday and it had part of the original paper label preserved on the front panel from some kind of hard clear adhesive. You can barely make out the word “drug”. Probably an 1880s medicine bottle?

I found the exact same type bottle just below River Street in Savannah when the tide was out. Mine of course didn’t have any paper left on it. Y’all have the best bottles in the state over there. I one time got to dig for bottles over in Savannah but, every single John Ryan in the pit was broke. I did come home with a few eagle buttons, a clay pipe, and a period rail road baggage tag.
