I have an original cartoon drawing by Frank Reynolds, the artist who illustrated The Pickwick Papers.
It is definitely original - done on water color board, you can see the places where he first drew in pencil and then erased and drew in ink.
The scene is of a young girl calling to her mom inside the house and a man with horse and carriage/buggy is out front, with
Frank Hassock written on the side of the carriage. Under the scene a caption written in pencil reads:
''Yo ho! Mum! It's The Streamline Bakery Service''
and to the bottom right, also in pencil, is the number 6 1/2 and the initials c.s. (or c. and some other letter, maybe a g.)
What could be the value of an original Frank Reynolds work like this? Looks like it was a rough draft.
