Yesterday evening after work I went out detecting near the dorm halls for the University of Oregon. I dug about $6.00 in clad and a cool looking oriental coin. The oriental coin is about the size of a US quarter ~ square hole in the middle ~ I think it's a Chinese 10 cash cast coin, right? Anyone know about these things? I took pictures of it ~ I don't know what side is the obverse & what side it the reverse! Nor do I know if the coin's image in the pictures I took are right side up!

Nice find OC
Still on my wish list.

To me - all those chinese coins look the same. :D My son and I have found them. We have a world coin book and I tried to identify them in there. Don't think I really got a positive match. Anyway, they generally are not worth much although they still are cool and generally very old.
