Hello to everyone,
I have been reading almost every post closely related to the purchase and comparisons of the 250 done by most of the members in this forum..the information gathered here is the reason I have gone with the Ace 250 as my first detector.
Now the problem, I ordered the detector from Kelly's 10 days ago and still it has not arrived, I am located in Victoria B.C. Canada and had to pay an extra $46 US to get the priority shipping because I was not in the continental USA (free to ship to Alaska though, maybe they could have dropped it out the window on the flight over the Island) anyways are there any other Canucks out there that have ordered from Kelly's and how long did it take their MD's to arrive??
The wait is killing me, my house is located on a very old area that is very rich in artifacts (I believe) because of all the naval activity in the area since the 1800's. I have found lots of old bottles and broken china plates by the shore line plus there are remnants of an old small scale rail line in the area. My house is only from about 1950 but it was built on the land of the original homestead farm, even the original trees that were at the entrance to the farm property are located on my now existing property.
So, as I read all the forum areas waiting for my detector I have been looking at the neighbourhood in a whole new light; every neighbour I see now I size up for potential property search permission; every lawn I see I want to dig; every hole I make I wonder if they will notice if the lawn dies; everytime I see a sidewalk or road riped up I want to tell the road crew to hold off till my MD arrives so I can search before the new concrete goes back down..........it is freakin endless. I WANT MY DETECTOR.
So in conclusion, I want to thank all you folks for the insight and information I have gathered from all your great posts and I will definitely post pics of whatever I find on my first day out with my MD, also I will post a picture of the couch I will be sleeping on when my wife sees the Visa bill. (not that the 250 is big bucks, but she doesn't share my interest in this hobby yet, that is until I find at least one piece of mediocre jewelry).
Thanx all
Troy
