Detecting on holliday seems nice, thought not to bring it but the harvest is over.

So here are my finds from today, some romanian coins and one too flat so cant identify it.

other bits and lots of ww1 casings dating 1903 to 1914.

I'd say it was an amazing day considering it was all in the back garden
Nice !!! Congrats!!!

Back garden in England? Are those casings 93 Mauser? Nice coins and pictures.
Thank you, yeah they’re M93 casings.

And no, my property in Romania sits on/near what was a defensive line along the river.

The location is between 2 sets of hills with deep forests on either side and a river along the valley. We had countless armies including the Austrian and ottoman armies come along here and then ww1 & 2.

So far I found 1 Austrian Kreuzer 1816 and a lot of casings from ww1 and just one from ww1 (1942) with a base clip.

My back garden isn’t huge but given the location there may have either been training or fighting here

That garden keeps on giving. Good job.

Well done On the recoveries.
You might get older recoveries once the upper layer is cleared away.

I’m hoping but it’s like someone used a seed spreader to spread nails ._.

I’d need the deus and a smaller coil to clean up the top first or to just use the pinpointer and a hoe to clean up all the iron

Thank you everyone.

And yes, there’s a bit of history.

In ww1 I assume because the map doesn’t specify, there was a defensive trench running along the back of the garden and it’s interrupted by 2 star shapes? I don’t understand military maps tho ._.
