Orange slime

I'm sure somebody on here has posted about this before at some point but while walking along creeks sometimes I see orangish brown slime oozing out of the bank. Anyone know what that is? I'm assuming it has something to do with high iron concentrations and rust? Don't have a pic.

Not sure without a pic prob rust from car parts I see that a lot. Agricultural runoff looks slimy in water too.
 

Figured out what it was. Iron oxidizing bacteria. It causes rusty colored slime where the ground is moist and very rich in iron. Here's a pic. iron bacteria.JPG
