President Caleb Schultz
“JASON and the Argonauts”
A Child’s Dream Come True!

This is the sort of life experience that a child or grandchild only dreams of undertaking – but for four lucky kids, this dream will come alive!

JASON/National Geographic is donating a once-in-a-lifetime experience to join Dr. Robert Ballard and the crew of the E/V Nautilus for 4 to 5 day science adventures on the Aegean Sea/Black Sea (dates to be determined) for up to four students (ages 14-15) and two teachers/chaperones.
• This expedition is designed after JASON’s highly successful National Argonaut program which has sent over 400 students into the field to work with leading scientists.
• This rare opportunity is usually highly competitive with applicants from around the world vying for the chance to take part in research projects in JASON’s multimedia science curricula.

The four lucky Argonauts on this unforgettable voyage will not only get the chance to live and work abroad on a real vessel of exploration but they will also be promoted as role models for students worldwide.
• The voyage will also be memorialized on JASON’s website throughout the 2009-2010 school year.
• The Nautilus provides “billets” (or room and board), and all ship related expenses are included.
• JASON pays round-trip airfare between point of origin and Nautilus and provides teachers/chaperones aboard Nautilus.

The rewards go far beyond their voyage!
• Student participants will study with real-world scientists, become featured in JASON’s online materials, join a global community of learners and serve as science ambassadors and mentors to their peers all over the world.
• Most importantly, they will light the spark of inspiration and discover what truly motivates them to do whatever it takes to achieve their dreams, in the classroom and in life.

Don’t let the young person in your life miss out on a remarkable adventure that is sure to build character, instill confidence and create memories that will last forever.

Value: $15,000 per student
