Hello to all. I recently inherited some jewelry and such from a relative that passed on a while back (was actually sitting in my grandmother's garage for a long time and she just told me to take it.)

I found this silver coin and using the certificate that came with it I did some research on it and found this forum.

I took it to a jewelry store and the guy told me that it was real, but he did not know the value. I thought I would ask you guys since there has been previous discussions on this type of coin.

Sorry about the numerous links. I couldn't get the coin pic to upload. Its done right this time.

I would say it's worth between $75 and $125 if the other side is similar. Depends on who you ask and who's buying...

I should of taken a picture of the other side. Ill have to remember to do that when I get home.

Each cob is unique. Values are somewhat influenced by Certificates of Authenticity, the reputation of the seller, the visual appeal of his ad and website, including sharp graphics and 'flowery' text of the sales pitch.
Caveat emptor and your patient due diligence will help sort it out.

I agree. Well said. Also keep in mind that many sellers list a coin with a high "buy it now" price just hoping a willing buyer will stumble upon it. Some have been on there for months. A coin is only "worth" what someone is willing to pay for it, just like anything else.
