Opinions for Super 12 Coil

Re: Opinions for Super 12 Coil, dunno yet..

My Whites dealer says only 1 of these 12 inch spider coils has been allocated to each dealer in US and no price discounts below $250. One guy told me he was getting 4 inches deeper on test garden targets in central Indiana.Another mentioned maybe 1/2 inch deeper. So, I would say ,call your local Whites dealer like I did and ask to be called when his 12 inch coil comes in so you can try it yourself. I want to see how it does on my MXT for gold nugget hunting and coins.

Whites has a program going selling the 12 inch coil for $50 with the purchase of a new DFX.
I bet that is why they are limiting the number of coils a dealer can get right now.

Maybe if you recently purchased your DFX you could sweet talk them into selling it to you at the reduced priced. You can print the coupon off the whites site.

I want a new F75 not a DFX, and no money for a new machine anyways.

the 10x6 dd coil is a good buy for the dfx...The f75 has rave reviews

The new super 12 is GREAT. Have used it on both my MXT and DFX. Getting an average of
2 - 2 1/2" more depth in average soil, targets bullett size, dime etc. Very pleased. The best thing is it's only a couple of ounces heavier than the stock 950 so it doesn't hurt my back.

I just received my DFX back from a VDI display repair and was sent a coupon for $200 off the Super 12 coil. I was looking to get a new coil of that size. I have a EXcelerator 4.5" x 7" coil and love it. I was going to get a 12.5" Excelerator, but I can't pass this up for $49.99. Can't wait to try it out. I keep you posted how it works out.

I bought my DFX a few weeks before Whites made their $49.00 offer. I called Whites { real nice people] The guy I talked to said, send in a check for $49.00 and they would send me the 12 super coil. I got it. Do I like it? I only tried it once. The only thing I didn't like was You have to turn your sensitivity down. If you don't [at least I had to].You will get an overload warning. I'm not sure about the extra depth. When you turn your sens. down you lose depth. I have to try it again in older ground. I was willing to pay the $249.00 if I had to, so I'm real happy With the people at Whites. ;D Mike.

I just ordered the same Excelerator 4.5 X 7 coil, and want to get the Super 12 also, for my M6. I am interested in seeing how the Super 12 does, compared to the stock 950 coil.

Dimeman did you try that 12" coil out on your M6 I've been thinking about one but did not know if it would work. If you would let me know.
Thanks

I haven't bought one as of yet, I am waiting to see what others think about it, after they get to use theirs for a little while.

But the reviews I have seen so far are pretty good.

That is what I'm waiting for to find out if they work well on the M6 or should I save my money! They've not been out long and here in Michigan we are just starting to get out MD'ing. I don't know of anyone that is using one.

The Super 12 is awesome! I have been using mine (on a DFX) for about three weeks now and I have no complaints. I have hunted areas I have covered in the past using the stock coil and found coins about two inches deeper than anything I have dug there in the past. I also had a chance to hunt with a guy using a DFX with a DD 1400, the Super 12 consistently performed better except in high trash areas the DD 1400 did better.

Hope this helps, Mike

I'm looking for some one that is using it on a M6 I've heard good things about using it on the DFX but nothing on the M6. I like the idea about out performing the dd but sounds like trash was a problem.

the 12" spider coil is very good,it works very deep,i found stuff where i didn't think i would find any more.....my own back yard!!!
i would recommend this coil to the "E" series user's.

F75 is the Fisher version (extra bells and whistles) of the Technetics T2. Both starting to be big sellers over here.
Re the Super 12 its fine getting extra depth on a clean site but hows it doing in busy areas where there's lots of target masking and anyone tried it against the similar sized Hot Shot coil ?

How long did it take to receive your coil from White's? It been almost one month and have not received. My detector came back from repair in 8 days and my headphones the same amount of time. I guess there is a lot of demand for this coil. Maybe that is slowing thing down.

Mine only took 1 week. They are probably back ordered. I'd give them a call to make sure they got your order. Mike.
