Hi everyone... My apologies if this isn't the best place to post this.
I am curious if there are any Open Source software packages out there, specifically intended for recording research data? Not looking for anything specific to treasure hunting, but general archaeology, etc., would be fine too.
I'm just trying to find a good solution to store all of the various tidbits I find. Raw text notes, Wreck/Treasure data, Pictures, GPS Data, Maps, links to online URL's, etc.
In the past, I've used a combination of tools I've put together (MySQL, MediaWiki, etc.), but am hoping there exists software packages out there that would accommodate my needs, without me re-inventing the wheel.
