Breezie;
I have fun looking at the pieces on this "What Is It" section.

As I browse, I notice that you offer a lot of input, and many times, you are dead-on correct with your identification. :icon_thumright:

When I was a young boy, I worked at an antique mall. I learned a lot, and I met a lot of people that seemed to know just about everything about all things old.

So I've been curious. What's your story? How did you become the "Human Treasure Net Google"?

Theakiki, thank you for your vote of confidence, but there are MANY people on TNet who are most knowledgeable, and I respect their knowledge. I look at ID-ing as a GROUP EFFORT. :thumbsup: Breezie

Yes she is.

So what about the story >?

Oh, Monty, hush or I'll mail you one of my crazy squirrels from my backyard! LOL :laughing7:

NaturalJWL, I wish there was a really saucy and intriguing story to tell, but actually it's quite boring . . .. My Momma was an avid collector of antique furniture and the likes. I even use to help her refinish furniture with strong chemicals when I was probably no older than 10 yrs. (today, that would be called child abuse; LOL.) I grew up with antiques, and have bought/sold/mule skinned antiques for 39 years, and at my age, I've seen quite a bit of junktiques. And if I had not killed so many brain cells at the local sports bars in college, I might remember even more! (not really, well . .kinda):laughing7:

Anything but squirrels! I have been after one little mangy one that has been chewing on the cable TV lines again and so far I can't get a clear shot at him. He is sneaky and tricky and I even have a couple of the neighbors after him but so far he has eluded us. Monty

I was told to put some peanut butter on a mouse trap and nail it high up on a tree trunk. I have never tried this but I was told by some old Florida crackers that this was an accepted way to get supper. Today the poor have Food Stamps. :D

The squirrel trap made of a mousetrap and peanut butter on a tree trunk might work but only if you use the larger rat trap. The standard mousetrap would only P him off. But the gist of the thread was to compliment Breezie and she deserves it. Monty

Monty, Yes, I know, and THANK YOU for the compliments; that was really nice. I knew I could 'pull your leg' on the squirrel deal. :laughing7: A couple of years ago, I saw a post about your 'love' of squirrels, and all the great pics, and every time I think about the squirrel holding the machine gun, it cracks me up! I don't know if this is the same pic or not, but it's similar.

Thank you again, Breezie
