OP Art from 1969! I don't get it, but I got it! :-)

I got this today at a garage sale close to home. It did not have a price, but a sticker asking to make an offer. After the owner saw a little bit of interest from me, he changed his mind about selling it. He said that the person that gave it to him was going to give him some paperwork about the artist. He kept saying that it was not signed. I went ahead and made him an offer, and told him that an unsigned painting had very little value. He agreed and sold it to me. I brought it home, cleaned the plexi a little, and determined that it was in fact numbered signed and dated on the lower right. The signature is very faint, but it is still there. Has anyone seen this before or recognize the artist? Thank you very much!

Finally the artist is revealed. An ebay seller sent me an email today citing the artist's name. It is actually American artist Ernest Trova 1927-2010. Very interesting work.

Looks like a pretty good find. Damn shame the signature and number are faded. Do you think that will lower it's value?

The recent auction prices appear to be lower for the past few years (2012-2015). But, the same print sold on EBay on 12/14/15 for $850. #156/175
