Not many targets at a pretty old site in the park woods I have hit multiple times. Was looking for anything that squeaked even in just one direction. Lots of iron globs and a handful of the fired nails that seem to not rust and sound great 8” down. The Trime was a similar signal, but repeating 17-18, was expecting a shotgun shell head stamp as it was shallow. Only my second Trime and this one is much nicer, made my day!

Anyone have a date range on the heavy oval buckle? Also starting to get into scavenging for edible plants, haven’t found any morels yet, but found a small patch of ramps. Thx

Congratulations on finding that little trime. They always make my day!!!

Tough to find silver for sure.
I got one up here long time ago, I thought it was going to be a pull tab as similar signal, the field was well hunted and few targets remained, so I dug it. When I first saw it I thought broken jewelry as it was holed, then I saw the three III's, and knew what it was.
Congrats.

Great coin. Like said above 1850's should be close on the buckle which i like too. Get back out there, gotta be some more goodies, dig some more iron and go slow and see if they show up.
