Hello, recently I have had some life changes and challenges and haven't been able to get out to my thrift stores as usual. Instead, I got on the gw auction site and bid on some lots of "assorted costume jewelry". I won the bidding on 3 lots, at $16 each, all total 87 pounds of assorted jewelry! Shipping was the worst part, and the total invested with shipping was about $110. When I opened the first box I found a gold and chrysoprase pendant almost immediately. It took me about 5 hours to sort through the tangled mess of necklaces, earrings, bracelets and all kinds of stuff. The next day I opened the second box and immediately saw the most charm covered sterling charm bracelet I have ever seen, weighing 145 grams. I spent another 5 hours sorting box 2, lots of 14k. The third day I went through the third box, lots of silver. The total 14k gold came to exactly 40 grams, 10k only 4.4 grams, 1/20 gold filled 24 grams, and sterling overloads my 400 gram max scale by far. Also a nice graduated pearl necklace with broken 14k clasp. It took 3 days to untangle and sort through all the costume jewelry, but totally worth it I think.

Nice, that’ll keep you busy in the long winter months for sure

That's the way many of the big thrift stores are going now with the good stuff. I'd say you did awesome on that buy.

You did very well, congrats! :occasion14:
