Have you checked your local Craigslist page?

I searched google and found...

Yeah, I check craigslist weekly. A couple months ago when I first became interested in coins I passed on what I now know was a couple pretty good deals on craigslist. Haven't found anything since on there.

I literally stalk Craigslist 6-8 times in a day or more, you have to pounce on those deals ASAP

I just got a package from an internet auction site.....

10oz silver bar
1oz silver round
a 5$ red seal bill

only problem I dind't win these items on the auction.......The billed the right person but sent to me.......I called the auction site and they said they would send me a check for shipping and send it along which I did.....will wait to see if I get the check.

I will say it was hard to send 11oz of free silver away.....but it was not mine and I can only hope someone would make it right if they got mine.

uzzard, First off, It's great to know there are still honest people in this world. Secondly, will you let us know what auction house this is so I can make sure to avoid them? I can only imagine what the buyer would have went through if you weren't so honest. Auction house would have swore they mailed it to him.

OO

Very Commendable, what goes around comes around!

Nothing is guaranteed. I've been scammed a lot of money on ebay before, from what I thought was legitimate seller with very high feedback ratings...can't comment on c'list, but there's always a possibility of a scam when dealing with strangers.

I have had some luck buying and selling on Craigslist. Lately the sellers want a collectibles premium for silver coins that don't really have collectible value. My offers get shot down and others seem prepared to pay full melt value or more. So, it's possible but the "deals" are few and far between (and the sellers don't have to look far to see ads by people willing to buy for melt or more).

I've been on auctionzip.com a few times. Just depends on what you want and who wants it more. There is shipping and an auctioneers premium of around 15% to deal with too though.
