Let my yard go too long and spent about 8 hours mowing, I take extra time where the arrowheads are, but didn’t see any on the mower. Took the pup for an evening walk and found this guy.

It’s about as poor of quality stone as you can find, maybe why they never finished it… it so bad I’m not sure my pictures will look like anything more than a rock but a point is a point and I’m happy to add it and gain another clue to reconstructing the history of this place.

I agree that it's a strange choice of materials but you can definitely see the workmanship on it. Sometimes I think it was harder for them to make something out of this type of material and with good flaking material. Take some real skill.
 

Yeah sometimes the flint around here stays chalky and never has that good core, kinda like they tried to make one out of cortex.
