I know nothing of the history, but heres a link to completed eBay sales. One of them states that only 360,000 were minted (I don't know if that was just of the bronze variety he was selling). thanks to you both for the info our coins here in the U.S. are highly sought after, for the low mintinge and higher grades. if this was a penny from the states i would say with 360,000. made would be highly sought after. thanks again
