Did back-to-back morning hunts in Baltimore City this week at the same park.

On Monday, I did get silver - a 1945 Washington quarter. Other keepers: a Waterbury Scovill Mfg. Co. Police button, and a 1917 Buffalo nickel.
Also dug 10 wheats with the two earliest being 1919.

Went to the same park today and ended up with 16 wheats, the earliest being 1914. My best finds are: an 1891 IHC, a religious medal, a 2-hole button, and a 1928 Canadian 5 cent piece.

That's a batch of nice finds McCdig. I like everything, especially that dated Buffalo.

That's a couple of nice hunts, all the finds are really nice & the 5c piece is outstanding, congrats on all the saves & HH

Congrats on some nice keepers. You're doing some nice diggin' in them old parks. Good pics and post, thanks for sharing.

Great finds. Congratulations

Nice finds Mike. The police button is a really nice find. Did you go back to the park we hunted? Would like to meet up and go there again.

Nice finds my friend but I believe that religious medal has more to do with an Indian Necklace

Love those parks! Great digs and excellent images, way to go

Thanks Jamie. Yes, same park and we do need to hit that one again, soon.

Thanks Marchas45. Here is the other side. Someone identified this as part of a rosary.

Thanks cheffer! Yes, a good park like this, with minimal trash, is a treasure chest.

Thanks Argentium. I would say that this little park is unusual and we are trying to figure it out. It has produced 4 LCs, one NJ copper, one seated half dime, Indian Head cents, hundreds of wheats, even more hundreds of quarters, about a half dozen of tokens, foreign coins, and buttons (including a CW eagle general service button and a CW naval button), and silver coins of from the mid-20th century. No Barber silver as yet.

Thanks Rook. We keep "pluggin' away", as the saying goes. Couldn't resist the pun.

Thanks RVRoamer66. Still poppin' wheats out of here. Most recent hunt there (Tuesday), I got 16 wheats and 1 IHC. Unless I go slow, I end up missing these.

Thanks Randy. Now that the ground's wet I think we are hearing all targets better. Best time of year to hunt.

Thanks Trezurehunter. Yes, seeing a very readable date on that Buff and to have it on an early one was cool to see right out of the hole.
