I was bored Sunday & didn't have any where to go. We only hunt old spots. I thought about this park with a old cemetery
in it, I always figured the house site was close by but had never checked it out. I couldn't get hold of Jim Weaver, so I called
my other partner Jim Armstrong. Jim didn't seem to excited about the park + we have been hunting so much lately that we
are afraid our wives might leave us. Jim ends up meeting me there. I got there first & hadn't been hunting but about ten minutes when I got a nice hit at about 6", out comes a old set of old silver cuff links with initials. Jim shows up with this glum
look on his face like what are we doing here. About 10 minutes later I dig up a 1874 Indian head, hum, not bad. We were
digging flat buttons so I knew the potential was there. Next thing I know Armstrong is coming at me thru the woods with
this #$%@ eating grin on his face and his arms wide open telling me he is going to kiss me for asking him to go to this
old park, after he kissed me on the head I knew he had found something special. We are not the kissing type. He holds out
his hand with a Spanish Cob in it. All & All Jim found 4 flat buttons + the cob, I found the set of cuff links + one, 6 flat
buttons, the 1874 IH (not shown) its soaking + some other neat old stuff. This is the best hobby in the world. Good Luck.

That's awesome! Way to keep a sharp eye out to find an unhunted yet obvious spot!!! :icon_cheers:

SUPER HUNT. NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU WILL FIND. CONGRATS.

The cob is neat and all, but I wouldn't trade it for the cuff link! All nice finds!

Are you sure he didn't bring the cobb with him - maybe he just needed a kiss ::) ;D - Well done on the finds.

Cool finds Deno,I agree the cufflinks are cool.Tell your friend congrats on the cob.

Those are some impressive find. And that cufflink is amazingly personal. What kind of park was it? Did you get any sense it was that old? What reading did you both get on your finds.

Please update with pics of cleaned coins etc.

The park is not that old it just has this old cemetery in it. Thats why I thought there might be a old home site close. We were hunting within about 500' of the cemetery in thick woods. The cuff links hit like a coin, they were around 6" deep. Thanks to you & everone else for looking & your comments. Good luck to everybody.
