I wasn't able to get out much this week and when I did I couldn't find much.I did find a small blade however that is pretty cool.

This sucker is really thin and perfectlt flat.

I thought I'd share a couple of my favorite finds from the past couple of years. The point below is one of the sweetest I've ever found. It's a pentagonal that never got much if any use.The material appears to be Logan County chert.

The two points below I found on the same day. I found the delicate triangle first and I was worried about getting it home without chipping it.I wrapped it in some leaves in my pocket. A short while later I found the corner notch, also incredibly thin and delicate. If I was already worried about the triangle you can imagine how much I worried I'd chip the big point. I got them home undamaged but I now bring a pocket case with me so I worry less.I should realize that if they've survived this long I probably won't hurt them either.

I'd also liked to thank my friends M and J who've made finding points such as these more a possibility and for inspiring me to stretch out and really look for new sites.

Nice finds Unitas. That Blade is very nice for it's size. Nice and thin and shaped really well. That Pentagonal is superb and I agree that it probably never saw any use. I also really like the Triangle and the Jack Reef Point. The Jacks Reef is a classic example of the type.

Thanks for the pics.

Woo Hoo! nice, very nice examples. So thin and so well proportioned.
