One more time...Minelab Explorer II, XS, or SE

I am having a difficult time trying to decide which one of these machines are the best. I have heard that the SE is much faster than the other two machines, but overall the Exp II is the best. Do they all have the same depth detection? Also, is there any quirks that need to be worked out with the SE? I am ready to upgrade and want to be able to keep this one for a while before I try any others. Thanks in advance.

they all have the same depth. the SE is slightly lighter ( and i do mean slightly), is a little faster to recover after detecting a target, and is a bit easier to navigate around on the screen ( the biggest advantage in my opinion). you really cant go wrong with any of them though, if you like minelabs that is.

Hollowpointred is correct. I'd like to add that the Minelab SE, II have a slight learning curve as they are not your average detector. The use of the Iron Mask is also a huge plus.

thanks fellas.. i am going to go with the SE. I have done much to much research with it and there are pros and cons for everything. It will be here on tuesday when the UPS woman delivers it to my door and i give her and the SE a nice big ole' metal detectorist hug and kiss possibly
