One More Silver Coin From that Park Slope

The weather today was spectacular here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Temperature was in the low 70's! The Super Bowl will have some perfect weather
for the big game. Today I went back to that park slope I've been working the last 2 weekends and dug out one more mercury dime, it was dated 1930-P. It's
my first dated 1930 merc dime with a Philadelphia mint mark. I still need 12 more dates and mint mark combinations to complete a dug set. I've dug 552 mercury dimes
over the last 30 years of hunting. I may never dig a complete set of mercs, but it's fun trying! Total wheat pennies today was 14. That slope I've been hunting is pretty
much completed now. I'm confident that I've removed 95% of the good targets. I'll leave the 5% left for the next guy!

Good score on the silver....have you tried that strip along the side of the road?

I've got a similar site to yours which I'll be hitting this spring only the angle is sharper probably 45% or more...I'll have to play billy goat....lol.

I walked a tight grind pattern exactly as you described. I spent 12 hours on that slope concentrating on those deep high tones. There might be another couple of good targets in there, I might go back with a larger coil next time......

You brought up a interesting idea for a comparison. S versus P & D in mercury dime mint marks. This is how it breaks down with all the mercury dimes I've ever dug:

San Francisco mint marks: 383
Philadelphia mint marks: 176
Denver mint marks: 93

So it roughly looks like about 30% of my dug mercs have the P mint mark...How does it break down for all you east coast guys?
