A#1, is there a historical society, a historian, or an old-timer in Kingsley? If so, show them the photo and see if they know the answer.

There doesn't seem to be one jumping out of Google. I'll start by asking some of the folks I know that live there.

Some of the little tiny towns around here,...have a corner of the local townhall, library, or some public building that's devoted to local history.

A#1, the most you can do is run it to ground - hopefully someone will know or at least offer some other suggestions...

Arthur Alfred Sparling, 1877-1967,
Elsworth Halstead 1871-1945
Bertha Saxton 1867-1943
Verna Pratt 1888-?

All from Paradise, or Fife Lake Townships, in Michigan. Kingsley is in Paradise township, and Fife lake township neighbors it.

Saw some mention of some being Quakers also, if that could have any meaning.

The hat the gentleman of the wagon is wearing has me scratching my head.

Maybe following this will lead somewhere: https://history.tadl.org/items/show/1533

I love finding those kind of photos with names.

Tracing down a decendent that is "into" geneology and giving them the pic is great. I wish someone knocked on my door one day with something like that.

Honestly, It's kind of one of my hobbies.....finding, following, and collecting old pictures and postcards like that.

Oddly, I know some things that have stumped local historical societies. They thought I was full of it, until I showed them pictures

A great way of finding places to detect.

I started buying them for the purpose of finding relatives, and selling the pic. I know I would pay a fortune for a pic of my ancestor. I've got nothing pre 1950.
But the few that I've actually found someone interested, I couldn't bear to take any money.
